Dr Joshua Sappiatzer
Dr JOSHUA SAPPIATZER - RADIATION ONCOLOGIST
Dr Sappiatzer graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Adelaide. He completed his internship at the Royal Adelaide Hospital before commencing his postgraduate training in Radiation Oncology at Adelaide Radiotherapy Centre, which he later completed at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
In 2012 and 2013 he worked at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Canada where he undertook a Clinical Fellowship which focused on prostate and penile brachytherapy, breast intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), and stereotactic lung radiotherapy techniques. While there, he was involved in a number of research projects and the development and implementation of protocols.
Dr Sappiatzer works across all areas, and has particular clinical interest in breast, lung, urological, central nervous system and skin cancers as well as head and neck and upper gastrointestinal tumours. He also has a keen interest in clinical trials. He works out of the fully equipped Adelaide Radiotherapy Centre Clinics at Flinders Private Hospital, the Tennyson Centre, Kurralta Park and more recently at St Andrews Hospital. Dr Sappiatzer is also a visiting medical specialist at Repatriation General Hospital and Whyalla Hospital. In April 2017, Dr Sappiatzer commenced consulting at The Court House Specialists rooms in Victor Harbor, which has been much appreciated by patients and clinicians in the region.
